After having achieved the PEFC certification, TFE Křtiny was awarded in 2005 a certificate in the C-o-C (Chain of Custody) system of wood consumer chain testing according to valid regulations of PEFC CR and according to the Directive for the verification of wood consumer chain in Czech Republic – CFCS 1004-1:2002.
In February 2006, a successful recertification was made according to the new Directive for the verification of wood consumer chain in Czech Republic – CFCS 1004:2005.
The certification of the system of verification of the wood consumer chain links up with the certification of forests and provides an evidence that a C-o-C certificate holder has introduced a rigorous system of controlling the wood mass origin. Organization is therefore able to distinguish whether the wood to be processed or marketed originates from a certified forest.
The C-o-C system is introduced in the Czech Republic and certified according to the national normative document Directive for the verification of wood consumer chain in Czech Republic – CFCS 1004-1:2002 or CFCS 1004:2005 and applies to all entities engaged in the chain of wood processing from logging to the sales of wood products to end consumers.
