Sawmill Olomučany

Sawmill in Olomučany was put into operation in 1993 when it was built on a green meadow. It is equipped with advanced technologies and instruction rooms for students. In addition to the main sawmill with band saws and a small extension for with a classical framesaw, there is also a trimming and cross-cutting line, chamber seasoning kilns for sawnwood, a steaming unit, a fuel pumping station, a sewage water treatment plant and an environment-friendly boiler house tu burn wood waste on the premises.

Annual breakdown amounts to about 23,500 m3 of which 40% and 60% fall to coniferous and deciduous wood mass, respectively.

• Thickness from 18mm by 1mm to wish
• Width up to 280mm in edged sawntimber
• Quality grades EBW, IMBALLO I., IMBALLO II.
• Species spruce, beech, other to wish (pine, oak)
• Balks at lengths up to 10m
• Scantings sized to order
• Processing of minor diameters up from the small end of 15cm;
• Production of wood chips and sawdust.
