Timber Works Josefov

This operation of secondary timber production – Timber Works Josefov was put into operation on 1 January 2001 to link with the primary timber production unit Sawmill Olomučany. Its activities are as follows:

Dimension timber:

• manufacture of hardwood dimension timber
• manufacture of softwood dimension timber
• production of sawnwood from small-diameter timber – scantlings
• manufacture of pallets and special boxes.

Planed elements:

• Manufacture of matched lumber in classical, tatran and floor profiles at thicknesses ranging from 12-28 mm and lengths of 3, 4 and 5 m – mostly made of spruce and larch wood,
• Manufacture of battenboard at both technical and furniture grade, size to order,
• Manufacture by the technology of infinite sill.

The unit offers a newly constructed accommodation facility with a lecture room for students that can be used also for the commercial purposes.
